How much sugar in a can of soda? In just under 2 minutes, this video will answer that question in a very simple, powerful way… and it definitely made me rethink my beverage choices.
According to Diabetes.org, just one 12-ounce can of regular soda has about 150 calories and 40 grams of carbohydrate. This is the same amount of carbohydrate in 10 teaspoons of sugar! Also, people should avoid intake of sugar-sweetened beverages to help prevent diabetes. Sugar-sweetened beverages include soda, fruit punk, energy drinks and sweet tea.
